Introducing Small Wonders:
MFA (Maryland Federation of Art) invites all artists residing in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico to enter its 14th annual Small Wonders competition. Any original 2-D work 11″ by 11″ or smaller and 3-D work 11″ by 11″ by 11″ or smaller is eligible for entry. Works selected will be on exhibit in MFA’s Circle Gallery at 18 State Circle, Annapolis, Maryland from December 1-23, 2018. Chair; Nichole Leavy.

Juror: Linda Crocker Simmons
Linda Crocker Simmons has worked in the art museum field for over 40 years, 26 of them as curator for the Corcoran Gallery of Art. She has held the title of Curator Emerita since 1998 and has worked privately to provide curatorial services for clients both private and institutional including the Alice Ferguson Foundation at Hard Bargain Farm in Accokeek, Maryland. She holds a BA in studio art and art history from American University as well as a MA in art history from the University of Delaware, a certificate in arts administration from Harvard University and remains a.b.d. for her PhD from the University of Virginia. She is an expert in the field of American painting from the end of the 18th century into the early 20th century. Simmons resides in Arlington, Virginia and serves as a member of various boards and organizations including The Stone House Foundation in Stephens City Virginia.
