List of Our Supporters

The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance thanks the following organizations for their support:

SAUL ZAENTZ CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

We have a personal interest in ensuring that the greater Baltimore region remains a vibrant place for all families to live and thrive. Baltimore’s great strengths include outstanding cultural institutions and universities, along with diverse neighborhoods. To build on and complement these strengths, we work to anchor middle class communities by supporting them through grants to Jewish institutions, cultural and educational organizations, libraries, green spaces, and community groups in various neighborhoods. We are also mindful of our responsibility to help support those striving to move out of poverty by funding organizations that provide food assistance, job training and low cost recreation to our citizens.

MARYLAND STATE ARTS COUNCIL

The Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance is funded by an operating grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive. Funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

WILLIAM G. BAKER, JR. MEMORIAL FUND

The William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund, creator of the Baker Artists Awards, commits its resources to enhance the region’s economy and quality of life by making investments in arts and culture.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS

Established by Congress in 1965, the NEA is the independent federal agency whose funding and support gives Americans the opportunity to participate in the arts, exercise their imaginations, and develop their creative capacities. Through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector, the NEA supports arts learning, affirms and celebrates America’s rich and diverse cultural heritage, and extends its work to promote equal access to the arts in every community across America. Visit arts.gov to learn more about NEA.

THE PECK FOUNDATION

We are a small family foundation interested in fostering vibrant, livable communities where individuals have access to the arts and opportunities to engage in positive change. We do this by seeking out creative arts programs, neighborhood revitalization projects and community engagement initiatives. Our favorite projects are the ones that combine these elements in a way that brings people of all ages together and helps to create a sense of belonging and mutual respect. And you should know that because we’re a small foundation, we prefer to reach out to nonprofits to initiate a conversation.

AEGON TRANSAMERICA FOUNDATION

We're committed to improving the wellness of our customers. At Transamerica, we believe our responsibilities go beyond our corporate walls. That's why we created the Aegon Transamerica Foundation (the "Foundation") in 1994. Through a combination of financial grants and the volunteer commitment of our employees, we support non-profit organizations focused on the education, health and well-being of the communities where we live and work.
