Join us for the Alliance of Artists Communities' 2015 Conference in Providence, Rhode Island -October 13-16! This annual gathering brings together arts leaders, funders, policy-makers, educators, and artists from across the world to explore the ways in which we can advance today's artists. All are welcome! Special opportunities this month also include:

  • Surel's Place (Boise, Idaho - United States) offers one-month residencies to visual and performance artists and writers. Modern live-work space steps from the Boise river and minutes from downtown Boise. Travel + living stipend included as well as use of well-maintained bicycles. Deadline: Sept 1. [read more]
  • The Banff Musicians in Residence (Banff, Alberta - Canada) provides emerging and established artists from the classical, jazz, singer songwriter, folk, pop, electronic and world traditions with a period of focused time to create and the opportunity to expand their artistic insights through work with program peers and visiting artists.   • NEW LISTING: Press Street / Spillways Residency (New Orleans, Louisiana - United States) A spillway is an engineering feat that provides controlled release of water from a river levee. Press Street's Spillways Residency ushers a dispersion of outside thought and practice into New Orleans through creative feats. Visual artists, writers, collectives, and long-term collaborative teams are welcome to apply. Residency includes travel + 1000 honorarium + extensive staff support to make each project a reality.   • Chulitna Lodge Artist-In-Residence Program (Lake Clark National Park, Alaska - United States) offers residencies for artists across disciplines on a remote property 180 miles west of Anchorage, Alaska. The property is an inholding on hundreds of square miles of national park, with only access is by plane. Fellowships are available that include transportation to and from the site. Deadline: Ongoing.
