CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: “Baltimore’s History is American History” Photo Contest

The Baltimore Heritage Area is seeking submissions to its 2025 It’s A Snap! Photo Contest, with
the theme “Baltimore’s History is American History.”

We are looking for photos that capture Baltimore’s legacy in the greater story of the United States. This could range from images that represent Baltimore’s role in the Civil Rights Movement to the culture that is being created each day by Baltimoreans. We invite photographers to explore this theme in their own way. The contest is open to both amateur and professional photographers over the age of 16. The grand prize winner will receive $500, the first place winner will receive $400, the second place winner will receive $300 and honorable mentions will receive $50 each. All of the winners will be celebrated at a public exhibition in Baltimore in 2026.
