Are you an author, visual artist, or composer in need of some space away from home for your creative practice?
The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts will be welcoming back residents for in-person residencies at their Mt. San Angelo location in Amherst, Virginia, starting in the summer of 2021. Apply now and be considered for a Creative Fellowship, supported by Mid Atlantic Arts. Creative Fellowships funding at VCCA is available for artists from Delaware, Maryland, New York, and West Virginia.
Residencies at VCCA offer private studios, room, and board for intensive, self-guided creative exploration and development in a tranquil setting at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Creative Fellows also receive a travel subsidy.
How do I apply?
Artists should apply directly to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts through their regular application process. A limited number of applicants selected for residencies will be recommended for Creative Fellowships support. For more information and to access the application, visit the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts' website.
The next deadline for applications is January 15, 2021.
Mid Atlantic Arts also provides support for residencies at the Millay Colony for the Arts for artists residing in the District of Columbia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Visit Mid Atlantic Arts' website to learn more!
