Congratulations to Jennifer Rae Lucas who recently accepted the position of Marketing Manager at the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance. A 2020 graduate of Urban Arts Leadership, Jennifer has been working part-time at GBCA since February and now becomes a full-time member of the staff family. A highly creative and skilled individual, this semester they will also be completing her BA in Urban Arts at Coppin State University. We know you will enjoy working with Jennifer just as much as we do.

Recently featured in the Baltimore Sun, McKinley Wallace III was part of a pop up show organized by the Hot Sauce Collective and the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts. The exhibition was part of a series that made shows available in outdoor settings at a time when most galleries are closed due to COVID 19. Imani Haynes had just completed her UAL Fellowship at The Walters Art Museum when she learned she was awarded the prestigious 2019-2020 Carol Bates Fellowship. With this Fellowship Imani worked with the Walters curatorial team and education department to create all-ages programming and selecting objects for 1 West Studio. She recently began working as the Education Program Manager at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and is studying for her M.F.A in Curatorial Practice at Maryland Institute College of Art.

Meagan Lewis appeared in the pages of mymcmedia, which featured her in a story about a new mural in the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District. With funding from the Arts District and Montgomery County’s Department of Transportation, Megan’s project was selected from among 50 proposals to create a transportation-themed mural on a parking garage in downtown Bethesda.
