Baker Update 9/11/18

After months of planning, tomorrow is the big night!

Please join us from 6pm - 9pm at the Baltimore Museum of Art for a Baker Artist Awards celebration, and get a first glimpse at the exhibition featuring the 2017 & 2018 awardees in Visual and Interdisciplinary Arts. See the work of Abraham Burickson, Sara Dittrich, David Marion & Amy Sherald.

This special evening will also feature performances, readings, and screenings from the 2018 Baker Artist Awardees in Performing, Music, Film/ Video and Literary Arts: Lafayette Gilchrist, Dora Malech, Margaret Rorison, and Lisi Stoessel

Lite fare will be provided along with a cash bar.

And if you are an artist, you will be pleased to know that the Baker Artist Awards website is now open for you to create or update your portfolio for consideration for a 2019 award. All artists with an active portfolio on December 17, 2018 will be eligible.

This year, as part of our "10 Years of Celebrating Excellence", we are also planning some very special events, including an "Off The Web" exhibition at the Peale, where any artist with an active portfolio will be invited to hang a single piece of art inside the oldest building in America built to be a museum. And in Spring 2019, we will be hosting a 10-year retrospective exhibition at Maryland Art Place!

Stay tuned for more information, and we hope to see you tomorrow night at the BMA!

Cheers,

David London
