The MTA will host two artists' briefings related to the recently released Call For Artists/Requests for Qualifications for the Purple Line’s Art-in-Transit Program:
Wednesday, October 8th – 6-8pm EST
Silver Spring Civic Building
Fenton Room
1 Veterans Plaza
Silver Spring, MD 20910
And
Thursday, October 9th – 6-8pm EST
City of College Park – City Hall
Council Chambers
4500 Knox Road
College Park, MD 20740
The briefings are open to all interested artists who would like more information about the details about the call for artists process, and about the Purple Line Art in Transit Program in general. These sessions are geared to professional artists who are eligible to submit proposals. These sessions are optional; attendance is not required for an artist to be considered for a Purple Line project, nor is attendance a factor in evaluating artists.
The session on Thursday, October 9th will also be available via WebEx. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to attend. In your RVSP, please include your name, email address and session you plan to attend (Oct 8th in person, Oct 9th in person or Oct 9th via WebEx). WebEx access will be provided upon request.
Please note that community meetings about specific locations and art projects will take place in 2015.
