Visitor & Facility Services Assistant

The Howard County Arts Council (HoCo Arts), a multi-purpose non-profit arts agency,
seeks a self-directed, outgoing individual for entry-level position in a small, fast-paced
office environment. The Visitor and Facility Services Assistant is responsible for
administering and coordinating space rentals, hospitality and facility services. This position
reports to the Visitor and Facility Services Manager.

Primary duties include but are not limited to: administering studio artists, resident arts
organizations, and tenant relations; monitoring rentals, facility use, maintenance and
building activities; administering HoCo Arts program calendar; monitoring building
attendants and program personnel, assisting visitors and program participants; monitoring
classes, camps and galleries; and visitor and community relations.

Qualifications: high school diploma/GED plus 2-3 years of work experience in office
administration or BA in a related field and 1 year of office experience. Experience in
SalesForce and arts administration preferred. Must be able to use a PC computer and
related office equipment and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar
applications. Must have own transportation; lift up to 50 pounds; remain seated for long
periods of time; and bend, stoop, reach, and climb without difficulty. Evening/weekend
hours are required, anticipated schedule is Monday – Friday 12:30 – 8:30 pm.

Benefit Package
This is a full-time, non-exempt position in a busy community-based non-profit arts organization, required to work 40 hours per week. This position is eligible for health benefits and paid vacation and sick leave. Salary range mid-high 30s; salary will be based on relevant job experience and work history.
