UMBC seeks a Guest Services Coordinator/General Associate.

Department: College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) Dean's Office

Responsibilities

Interface with CAHSS Performing Arts and other departments and clients to create ticketing sites and to create ticketing sites and seating charts in Audience View Campus ticketing software

Provide timely ticketing support for events ticketed through CAHSS Operations, including overseeing scheduled business hour availability

Supervise and train ticketing student staff

Coordinate event details with CAHSS Operations Coordinator regarding schedule, capacity, and on-site signage

Coordinate shared calendars with PAHB departments and Arts & Culture

Maintain familiarity with AudienceView Campus updates

Manage the maintenance, training, and distribution of ticketing and accessibility devices including printers, hearing and visual assist devices

Maintain accurate patron services information including: performance dates/times, parking, ticket purchase, area attractions, other events on campus, etc

Represent CAHSS Operations at meeting with campus event partners

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

One year of professional experience in ticketing or front of house operations

One year of professional experience in customer service

Experience supervising employees in a professional setting

Available to work weekends and evenings as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in ticketing or front of house operations in the performing arts

Demonstrated experience working with students

Knowledge of current practices and procedures in professional performing arts management

Strong organization and management skills
