Chesapeake Shakespeare seeks Part-Time Box Office Associate

Shakespeare is fun, and together, we work hard to provide a theatre experience that welcomes and engages audience members, beginning at their first point of contact.

Reporting to the Audience Services Manager, the Box Office Associate is critical for delivering superior customer service and involves direct interaction with the public.

The Box Office Associate supports box office activities including financial responsibilities, customer service excellence, PatronManager event and ticketing management, customer service phone and email support; and front-of-house operations during performances, supervising house managers, bartenders, and volunteer ushers.

This position at our downtown Baltimore theater will also include providing box office support including front-of-house operations at our summer outdoor home at the Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park in Ellicott City. A car is necessary for this commute.

Seeking friendly, patient, collaborative, outgoing person good with computers and details. Box office experience and sales experience preferred. PatronManager experience a serious plus.

  • This is a part-time staff position: approximately 20 flexible hours per week varying between days, nights, and weekends.
  • Salary commensurate with experience, paid on the 15th and 30th of the month
  • Two weeks paid vacation, plus last week of the year
