The Franklin Institute (located in Philadelphia, PA), partnering with Education, Sports and Fun (ESF) Summer Camps, is seeking dedicated and energetic teachers to lead our pre-K through 7th grade summer camp classes. ESF Camps are award-willing, filled with the perfect blend of education, sports, and fun, and provide a safe and supportive environment where new experiences can be tried and individual achievement is encouraged. The summer camp teachers will bring classes developed from The Franklin Institute curriculum to the ESF camps in order to immerse campers through hands-on, authentic learning experiences with exposure to “real-world” experts, special guests, and field trips. The teachers will inspire campers to think creatively, critically, and innovatively, while empowering them to explore the world around them and solve real-life, practical issues that engage their hearts and minds, culminating in an ultimate group project. The ideal applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree, teaching certification, at least 2 years of classroom and/or camp experience, and must have previous experience teaching children. The camps run from June through August, with training taking place over a weekend in June in Philadelphia, PA. Lodging, transportation and meals will be provided by The Franklin Institute.
