The Development & Community Engagement Assistant is a part-time (20-29 hours per week) non-exempt employee. Hourly Pay Rate: $20-$24 per hour, commensurate with experience. Location: 8360 Court Ave, Ellicott City, MD 21043.

The Howard County Arts Council, a multi-purpose nonprofit arts agency, seeks an in-person, part-time Development & Community Engagement Assistant for 20-29 hours per week to provide general administrative and event support for the Development team. This position is responsible for administering, coordinating and implementing development, community engagement, office administration, communications, special projects, and general office help/information desk duties, such as answering phones and fielding inquiries.

Qualifications: high school diploma/GED plus 2-3 years of work experience in Events or Nonprofit Administration. Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign preferred. Must be able to use a PC computer and related office equipment and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar applications. Must have own transportation; be able to operate an automobile; lift up to 50 pounds; remain seated for long periods of time; and bend, stoop, reach, and climb without difficulty. Evening/weekend hours are required and scheduled in advance.
