About Phantasmagoria

With its own unique and spectacular blend of storytelling, dance, physical ensemble work, large scale puppetry, aerial work, fire performance and stage combat, Phantasmagoria has been wowing critics and audiences alike since its premier 10 years ago.

Created and envisioned by writer/director John DiDonna in collaboration with diverse creatives, cast, crew and designers, Phantasmagoria’s main stage and touring productions offer “newly told” stories taken from century’s old literature of horror and the macabre, folklore, and legend, while their appearances and special events (which number in the 100’s each year) charm with a professional variety of circus, sideshow and theatrical flair!

Whether staring into the darkness of “The Raven” by Poe, tricking the hilariously cannibalistic “Captain Murderer” of Dickens, watching the eternal battle of father and son play out in “Frankenstein” or battling the hideous creatures of mythology, folklore and fiction, the troupe entrances and immerses its audience into stories that come fully alive.

As the events of 2020 have moved forward, Phantasmagoria has embraced the Virtual world, performing episodes live each Sunday night on “The Living Book of Face” as well as performances and appearances on multiple other platforms. Their Fall Mainstage tour Phantasmagoria XI “Plague Tales” is making its Virtual Tour through varying states this October.

Phantasmagoria looks forward to ongoing performances, Special Events and Appearances throughout 2020 and well into the future – whether live or virtual/streaming.
