COMMUNITY CONCERTS AT SECOND ANNOUNCES 2017-2018 SEASON

Join us for a free opening concert and reception on September 17, 2017!

BALTIMORE, MD (September 13, 2017)-- Community Concerts at Second is pleased to announce the opening of our 2017-2018 season! Our organization seeks to strengthen and enrich the Baltimore community by presenting free concerts that showcase the finest local, regional, and international artists. Our Sunday afternoon concerts feature a range of nationally and internationally renowned musicians, and our Sunday evening Chamber Music by Candlelight concerts feature members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a beautiful, candlelit setting. All concerts are FREE, with no tickets or reservations required.

We will celebrate the opening of the season with a Chamber Music by Candlelight concert and free post-concert reception on Sunday, September 17th, courtesy of our friends at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. An outstanding array of artists are in store for the season, featuring seven phenomenal afternoon concerts (including organist Felix Hell, violinist Irina Muresanu, and jazz bass clarinetist Todd Marcus), eight wonderful candlelight concerts featuring Baltimore Symphony performers, as well as our treasured Wonderlic Concert, this year highlighting local rising star pianists. We will close the season with a second reception on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 – a wonderful opportunity for our audience, staff, board, and musicians to mingle and get to know one another.

All concerts take place at Second Presbyterian Church in the Guilford neighborhood in Baltimore. Please visit our website (www.CommunityConcertsAtSecond.org) for details and a season calendar of events.
