ArtsLAB is a place where artists, arts professionals, advocates and more, come together to discuss current issues and concerns facing the arts sector. In addition to thrilling performances, the morning portion highlights an individual keynote speaker which exemplifies best practices for the topic at hand. The afternoon portion of the day is a mix of hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and case studies.

Rushmore is a time travel, punk rock voyage that lands the audience in the throws of the rebellious Reagan era, where they help Brooklyn based award winning playwright and performer Monica Hunken on her quest to save her mother from a lifetime of grief and Conservatism. This wild quest is a true 1980s adventure - packed to the brim with espionage, unexpected friendships, and even a chance for redemption. Mt. Rushmore also features live music.
This self-contained episode is an 8-hour durational performance. You may chose the length of your stay. Please purchase a ticket for each time slot you wish to attend. For your first hour, please select a “FIRST HOUR” ticket. For any hour after your first, select an “Additional Hour” ticket. For instance, if you wish to attend from 3pm to 5pm, you should buy one FIRST HOUR ticket for 3pm and one "Additional Hour" ticket at 4pm for each member of your group.
Join us for a moving presentation by U.S veterans who are studying acting to express themes of bravery and fear using scenes from Shakespeare’s plays and their personal experiences. On Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, at 7pm, our ensemble participants will take the stage to tell their stories in The Sharing, the culmination of a 10-week workshop tackling emotions and experiences more often bottled up than expressed. Our Veterans Ensemble workshop is made possible by Vet Arts Connect, an initiative of the Institute for Integrative Health. Admission: FREE.
This Tony Award-winning rock musical explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood in a powerful celebration of youth and love. The musical follows a turn of the century Romeo and Juliet, Melchior and Wendla, as well as their friends and their families, as they navigate, and are impacted by, teenage self-discovery, first love and coming-of-age anxiety. “Spring Awakening” has a book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik. Elizabeth van den Berg, chair of McDaniel’s theatre arts department, directs the production.

This animated African tale is born in the imaginations of five orphaned children in Swaziland who collaborate to tell a story of perseverance drawn from their darkest memories and brightest dreams.
