Children’s Chorus of Maryland (CCM) will hold auditions on August 27th, 28th, & 29th and September 5th in Towson for children as young as 5 ½ who are interested in participating in an exciting choral performance program. CCM features highly qualified teachers, small classes and in-depth vocal enrichment to provide children with a complete musical education and choral experience. A multi-award winning Korean traditional percussionist, composer, and ambassador of Honam Province Jeongeup folk music, Kim So Ra is one of the most skilled and prominent Janggu (Korean double-headed drum) players in Korea. Kim is known for her genre-bending performances combining Korean traditional sounds with creative, charismatic and modern interpretations.

Originally formed in the summer of 1979 in Washington, D.C. -- after guitarist David Arnson envisioned a new surf band for the modern era that combined elements of psychedelic rock, 60s instrumentals and punk rock energy -- they toured extensively throughout the US and released 2 EPs (Wavelength, Sonar Safari) and 3 singles that placed as high as #25 on the national college radio charts.

Adam Stab is Baltimore’s longest-active graffiti writer. He has been both participant and formative to the culture of Style Writing since 1984. Since the mid-eighties the movement of style writing (or graffiti writing) has become the largest, fastest growing art form – or rather culture – on the planet.
With the release of her debut album in 2013, Introducing the Laura Dubin Trio, the outstanding pianist/composer made a personal statement that demanded recognition. With the release of Laura Dubin Plays the Great American Songbook two years later; and the triumphant Laura Dubin Trio Live at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, there is undeniable evidence of the development of a highly promising young musician into a mature and powerful new presence on the contemporary jazz scene.
