To celebrate the release of their fourth album, Inside Out, The Old Part of Town brings their singular blend of folk-rock, country-blues, and bluegrass to the Creative Alliance.

And to make it that much more of a special evening they’ll be joined by their friends, who will be doing sets of their own, folk singer-songwriter Letitia VanSant, and local honky-tonk king Arty Hill with guitarist Tim Pruitt!

Irish Music and Dance Concert

National Heritage Fellow Billy McComiskey will be joined by Laura Byrne of the 
Old Bay Ceili Band and guitarist Richard Osban for an evening of Irish traditional music presented by some of Baltimore's finest. Irish Dancers will be included in the performance. Presented at St. Ignatius Catholic Community- 740 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. All proceeds go to the scholarship program of The Loyola School.

Named in honor of the French composer Gabriel Fauré, the group is internationally acclaimed as one of the world’s leading piano quartets. Known both for their top- notch recordings of classical gems and exciting pop hits, this German ensemble has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Revel in their captivating arrangements of Fauré’s art songs, intertwined with rarely performed piano quartet gems by Fauré and Brahms.

Bach in Baltimore returns with triumphant works by Bach and Handel performed by the Bach in Baltimore Choir and Orchestra. Handel’s The Music for Royal Fireworks was composed to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle between Britain and France, ending a conflict over the Austrian throne, Handel named the third movement “La Paix” (“The Peace”) and the “La Réjouissance” (“The Rejoicing”) to commemorate the mood of elation that followed the conclusion of the conflict.
