Back and in-person for the 35th Anniversary season, Columbia Festival of the Arts’ Free LakeFest Weekend is June 10-12, 2022, at the Downtown Columbia Lakefront! This fun and inclusive FREE three-day outdoor festival features a variety of live music and arts performances, Invitational Fine Arts and Crafts Show, interactive entertainment for all ages, cult-classic movie screenings, festival food favorites, and beer garden. Lakou Mizik is a multigenerational collective of Haitian musicians formed in the aftermath of the devastating 2010 earthquake. The group includes elder legends and rising young talents, united in a mission to honor the healing spirit of their culture and communicate a message of pride, strength and hope to their countrymen and the world. The band brings together musical generations in celebration of the cultural continuum while using Haiti’s deep well of creative strength to shine a positive light on this tragically misrepresented country.

Baltimore will come #Together Again on June 20-26, 2022 to celebrate the contributions made to society by sexual and gender minorities. Hosted by the Pride Center of Maryland, Pride 2022 will bring 50,000 people from throughout the region to Baltimore for a week of celebration, recognition and fun. In person for the first time since 2019, it’s wonderful to be #Together Again.

Join NAMI Carroll County, NAMI Howard County and NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore to discuss efforts to transform our crisis response system for behavioral health. 988 will be the new three-digit number that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. It will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16, 2022.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network, as well as local mental health resources and support systems.
Bring your own blanket & booze and enjoy weekly summer concerts on the Center Plaza lawn. Some weeks will feature local food trucks and pop-up vendors, and some might be more of a dance party.
