The REALLY COOL Open Mic is turning 1!!!! It's been an entire YEAR of wildly supportive open mics dedicating to getting more women and queer people on stage, and we're CELEBRATING! Join us on Friday, March 14 at Peabody Heights Brewery for more of what the REALLY COOL Open Mic is known for -- community and comedy!
Doors open and list goes out at 7:30 p.m. Show starts at 8ish. Open mics slots are 5 minutes with a light at 4 minutes. Limited spaces available, show up early to get on the list!
This is a FREE SHOW, but donations are ALWAYS WELCOME at the show!
Block Party: Baltimore's Best Black Improv Comedy!
Get ready for a true variety comedy show that is sure to get you laughing, clapping, out of your seat, and possibly on stage yourself! Blue Cavell-Allette, Desi Rawlerson, and Tashika Campbell are your hosts and producers, and your party MCs - there will be music, jokes, comedy games, interviews, sitcom tropes, audience participation, and non-stop laughs. They also bring their friends along for some surprise guest appearances!
Presented by Highwire Improv, Block Party is 90 minutes of the funniest improv in Baltimore and a true showcase of Baltimore's best Black improv comedians!

What is Breathwork?
Breathwork, or Pranayama, dates back thousands of years and is a form of meditation. Unlike other meditations, utilizing the breath in a rythmic pattern, quiets the mind and opens the heart. Breathwork cleanses the body, mind, and spirit and gives us a direct line to a higher frequency.
Breathwork helps with:

-Moving energy and emotional "build-up" out of the body

Lucky Laughter at Zissimos Bar
Follow the rainbow to The Lou Costello Room above Zissimos Bar for three fantastic comedy acts. We start with D.C.-based Breakfast Schnitzel before Baltimore up-and-comers Carbon Copy hit the stage. The show closes out with long-running Baltimore team Important Screws, who will bring guaranteed chaos to the stage.
Doors will open at 6:45 pm, show starts at 7 pm. Free and paid street parking is available throughout the area.

What is an improv show, exactly?
On the Spot Comedy at Zissimos Bar
The late-night laughs come to the Lou Costello Room with two fantastic acts. First, the character-driven Cassette Files will build a weird, wild world you have to see to believe. After that, Improv Jeoparty turns the game show you thought you knew on its head, improv-style.
Doors will open at 8:45 pm, show starts at 9 pm. Free and paid street parking is available throughout the area.

Scrappy Notebook Binding Class
Discover the craft of notebook binding! Join local artist Asho Buckingham in this scrappy notebook making class! Asho has spent the last seven years making art from secondhand, found, and recycled materials and now they’re sharing the skills. In this class you will select your perfectly imperfect secondhand papers, arrange, and bind them into a pocket notebook. Once the binding is done, Asho has a multitude of extra art and collage materials to complete your one of a kind art piece, made sustainably.
Whatever Fate Decides: at the Intersection of Tarot and Theatre
Highwire Improv welcomes Neal Leaheey from Providence, RI, for Whatever Fate Decides, a show bringing together tarot and theatre.
Together, we use the power of improvisation and theatre to delve deeper into the messages revealed during a special Tarot reading for an invited guest. As we explore, the show grants our invited guest insight into their past and present as well as the mystical power to change their future in front of the audience.
