Visit and shop galleries from 25+ artists during Columbia Festival of the Arts Virtual Fine Arts & Crafts Show. Showcasing juried artists from previous years’ LakeFest event representing a wide variety of media. Held annually the second weekend of June, the Invitational Fine Arts & Crafts Show has been part of CFA’s programming for more than 20 years and we are pleased to continue this tradition of giving artists the opportunity to still reach the greater CFA community despite limitations due to COVID-19.
Don your favorite festive hat or put on your favorite 1950s style clothing and head out to the 11th Annual Hats Off Fabulous ‘50s Tailgate Party set to take place on Thursday, June 17 beginning at 7 p.m. at Bengies Drive-In Theater (located at 3417 Eastern Ave., Middle River, MD 21220) to benefit the Hampden Family Center.
The 2021 Downtown Sykesville Farmers Market is nestled in historic Sykesville. Vendors are set up on Baldwin Drive or integrated in the fabric of our charming shopping district, in between the unique shops and boutiques of the Best Main Street in America 2020 (award by Independent We Stand).
The Market runs every Sunday, 9:00am-1:00pm from May 16th to Oct 24th!

The Downtown Sykesville Connection is hosting its third “Let Freedom Ring Parade” on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
The Let Freedom Ring parade will start at 10AM that day, beginning at Sykesville Middle School and proceeding down Springfield Avenue and the length of Historic Main Street, with floats and vehicles accompanying the approximately 30 participants marching in units and organized groups.
Parade floats will be judged and awards for floats will be announced after the parade. The parade should be over just in time for lunch and ice cream downtown Sykesville.
Bring your own blanket & booze and enjoy weekly summer concerts on the Center Plaza lawn. Some weeks will feature local food trucks and pop-up vendors, and some might be more of a dance party.
