ABOUT THE FILM

Dead Ringers is a 1988 psychological horror film directed by David Cronenberg and written by Cronenberg with Norman Snider. Beverly and Elliot Mantle are acclaimed gynecologists working in Toronto. They are also twin brothers. After a lifetime of sharing everything - including women - one of their patients unintentionally creates a growing rift between them, unraveling their precariously constructed bond. Based - very loosely - on two real-life twins! EEK!
