Historic Ellicott City Inc. Announces 35th Decorator Showhouse Fundraiser This Fall

Back by popular demand, Historic Ellicott City Inc. (HEC) will present its 35th Decorator Showhouse fundraiser this fall at Valhalla, located at 1575 Marriottsville Road in Marriottsville, Maryland. The event runs September 17–October 11, Thursdays through Sundays, with varied hours each day. This signature fundraiser showcases the talents of local designers, each transforming an assigned room or outdoor space within a historic home to reflect their creative vision. Proceeds support HEC’s mission to advance preservation and restoration projects throughout Howard County. Set on 100 picturesque acres, Valhalla dates to the 1800s, with its land grant tracing back to John Marriott in the 1700s — offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience design inspiration within a truly storied setting.
