Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man is featured prominently in the finale of his Third Symphony. Composer Andrew Norman's Gran Turismo, inspired by the Italian car-racing video game, is a workout for eight violinists. Influenced by the Academy Award-winning film, Kevin Puts' Oboe Concerto, "Moonlight," a BSO commission, shines the spotlight on Principal Oboe Katherine Needleman.

Laura Kaminsky’s As One is a chamber opera in which two voices—Hannah after and Hannah before— share the part of a sole transgender protagonist in a poignant coming-of-age story with a universal theme of identity, authenticity, and compassion. This production is performed in honor of Transgender Awareness month.

This 90-minute Off The Cuff concert provides more insight into a single work, followed by a question-and-answer session.
Returning for its 6th season, Christmas Village in Baltimore will once again transform West Shore Park at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor into an authentic German Christmas market! The basis of our melodies originated 2500 years ago in Athens, Greece, and the construction of the scales in its original form has been preserved in India. This concert will be a demonstration of works that illustrate these concepts.

Rogue Oliphant is a loose affiliation of musicians and composers who work on songs and spoken word pieces written by the Pulitzer Prize winning Irish poet Paul Muldoon.
Jonathan Palevsky livens this bass-focused concert with his always entertaining, annotated narration. Bass player William McGregor, the eighteen-year-old winner of 2017 Stulberg International String Competition Gold Medal, brings his virtuosity to the 18th-century concerto by Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf and to Moses Variations by Niccolò Paganini.

The Department of Music presents a Student Composers Workshop, featuring premieres of new compositions.
Admission is free.
Margaret Boudreaux, director of choral activities at McDaniel, leads the Masterworks Chorale, with McDaniel College organist Ted Dix as accompanist. The concert commemorates the 100th anniversary of the armistice ending World War I with the world premiere of “Te Deum,” composed by 2009 McDaniel alumna Justine Koontz.
