Creative Alliance & Charm City Bluegrass are teaming up to present bluegrass royalty The Gibson Brothers, debuting new material for a raucous night of bluegrass standards and country rock explorations.

The Gibson Brothers are known for their goosebump-inducing harmonies and virtuosic musicianship. Recently, they took a sharp left turn, with the help of Grammy Award-winning producers Dan Auerbach and Fergie Ferguson, and made a brilliant country-soul record that harkens back to a heady, Laurel Canyon folk-rock style

The Gibson Brothers, made up of brothers Leigh and Eric Gibson, wrote the new material drawing from a bluegrass, country, rock, and soul influences, drawn out by producer Auerbach of Black Keys Fame. In addition, their new recording has some serious covers including a brilliant version of R.E.M.’s iconic “Everybody Hurts,” about which Michael Stipe said, in Rolling Stone, “It really re-focuses the song and the lyric in a great way.”

For this show, expect some high-energy Gibson Brothers bluegrass classics as well as some country rock jams with a full band.
