What is thread? Is it just a long, thin strand of cotton, nylon, or other fibers? What is the thread that holds us together? How is thread made? This exhibit explores the answers to these questions and much more. This Call for Artists show features 20+ different artists from around the area and their interpretations of what thread means to them using a variety of mediums. PORTRAITS OF LIFE: Once Upon A Story

In this Ekphrastic exhibit, the paintings of Rimpo and Weiner-Reed will inspire written word, poetic, and musical compositions from viewers. The community is invited and encouraged to participate in-person in the special events scheduled throughout the exhibit for written word readings and musical presentations.

As It Should Be asked artists to imagine what tomorrow brings. If artists had the power to wake in the morning and have the perfect day, have all problems in the world be solved then what would the world look like? “The artist” is often written off as someone who doesn't understand how the world works and whose ideas have no basis of reality within the current system. What is misunderstood in these moments is that the artist can simultaneously hold the world as it is and the world as it should be. The cognitive dissonance between these two worlds is the space where the artist thrives.

We’re back with our third ”Five Minute Histories" feature: Art and Innovation in Station North! With this video, we are continuing our a new series called "Five Minute Histories." Each day, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and website.

A live online venue for artists to perform & support living expenses, and for the community to connect through live music despite COVID cancellations.

What better way to dance on the ashes of the old world run by billionaires and sweep them into the dustbin of history than to strengthen community knowledge! Join our new reading group and discuss how to build collective power in the time of coronavirus and beyond (we have so much material to work with!) We’ll be tackling readings and videos from thinkers across the globe and brainstorming practical application in this incredible moment in human history.
