Grief & Hope Practices for People Impacted by Federal Changes

Grief & Hope Practices for People Impacted by Federal Changes

Mental health professionals from Gray Matters and Phoenix Wellness Services will co-create a grounded space to process grief communally and identify strategies for fostering hope, both for those for whom systemic harm feels newer (eg. white people) and for those for whom this may feel like an acute surge amidst a history of oppression.

This immersive workshop will:

1. Expand the definition of grief beyond acute loss of one person and normalize processing personal and professional experiences as grief

2. Introduce culturally resonant ways to express and witness grief

3. Inspire reconnection with sources of strength, purpose, and community

4. Explore hope and healing through shared narratives and community frameworks in small group discussions

5. Offer resources for continued grief work
