Really, Really, Really New Works: Improv at Fells Point Corner Theatre

Really, Really, Really New Works: Improv at Fells Point Corner Theatre

What happens when the script isn't exactly finished? The show must go on - and Highwire Improv is bringing some of the best in the business of improvised comedy to the Fells Point Corner Theatre stage for two nights of shows where anything could happen!

Friday night we have:

The Rorschach Test is hosted by a weird guy who screams about social injustice and airline food. There are special guests, some of whom make it to the show!

Cassette Files is a character-forward duo that pulls everything they can from the glorious nostalgia of the 1980s!

and on Saturday night the lineup includes:

Salty Tomatoes is an indie improv team comprised of good friends who love to do good improv together!

Key City Improv What happens when 5 strangers meet at a Frederick improv class? They discover they’re improv besties and decide it would be fun to spend time discussing alternate universes and occasionally practicing improv. Thus, Key City Improv was born and they’ve been wowing Maryland audiences for the past two years. And there’s so much more to come!

Bad Karaoke Experience is a long-running musical improv team based in Baltimore!

What is an improv show, exactly?

Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!

A Highwire Improv show is truly a once in a lifetime performance, never done before and never to be done again!
