Bob Jacobson is a versatile musician on saxophones, clarinet and flute, in that order. He has played many genres, primarily classic/mainstream jazz (other genres have included rock, salsa, R&B, pop, classical and folk). He co-leads the jazz combos Sounds Good, Swing 'N' Samba, Home Cookin', and Sounds of Surprise. These bands' performance histories are wide-ranging, everything from house concerts to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Bob has also composed three dozen tunes, including two - "Camp Clave" and "Espresso Maker Blues" - which appear on CD. For 12 years he was v.p. of Baltimore Jazz Alliance and started BJA's Jazz for Kids program.
