Bob Jacobson is a versatile musician on saxophones, clarinet and flute, in that order. He has played many genres, primarily classic/mainstream jazz (other genres have included rock, salsa, R&B, pop, classical and folk). He co-leads the jazz combos Sounds Good, Swing 'N' Samba, and Discovery. He leads the bands Home Cookin' and Jazz Clarinets Galore, and plays in The Gentlemen of Jazz . These bands' performance histories are wide-ranging, everything from house concerts to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Bob has also composed twenty tunes, including two - "Camp Clave" and "Espresso Maker Blues" - which appear on CD. He is a licensed street entertainer in Baltimore City.
