On Saturday, May 3, 2025, 8 pm, the Columbia Pro Cantare chorus will present a concert celebrating Asian American/ Pacific Islander Musical Heritage at the Jim Rouse Theatre in Columbia, Maryland. The program will feature music from India, Indonesia, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Hawaii sung in their original languages by the full chorus and Columbia Pro Cantare Chamber Singers under the direction of Laura Lee Fischer, Artistic Director. Special guests will include Kayla Currie, soprano, Isaiah Shim, piano, and dancers from Korean Culture and Art of Maryland. There will be a pre-concert lecture at 7 pm and a post-concert reception.
