New Bartók Quartet
Join us as we embark on a mesmerizing journey through the masterpieces of two renowned composers, Mozart and Bartók, performed by the New Bartók Quartet, comprised of Wanchi Huang and Airi Yoshioka on violins, James Stern on viola, and Eric Kutz on cello. This ensemble of exceptional musicians will enrapture your senses with their skillful interpretation and heartfelt expressions.
The concert opens with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s magnificent String Quartet No. 19 in C major, K. 465, widely known as the “Dissonance” quartet. Mozart’s genius shines brightly in this composition, as he weaves together harmonies that challenge traditional conventions, creating a unique and spellbinding listening experience.
Continuing the musical journey, the New Bartók Quartet will delve into Béla Bartók’s mesmerizing String Quartet No. 4, Sz 91. Enter the realm of Bartók’s inventive and emotive compositions, characterized by their rich tapestry of melodies, rhythmic complexities, and vibrant folk-inspired motifs.
