Hike to the Patapsco River
Bring a water bottle, hearty snack and good hiking shoes and join us for a long, scenic hike on this lovely September day. After starting out at the Carriage House at Belmont, we will lead you through the forest to one of the most scenic areas of Patapsco Valley State Park, Orange Grove. There we will meet Ranger Max Buffington where he will talk about the Patapsco Valley in the 1800’s and 1900’s; as well as, learn about the history and ruins of the old Mill. Moderate to strenuous 4.5-mile hike that will last up to 2.5 hours in length; Trails consist of hills, uneven ground and some rocky areas. Be sure to dress for the weather.
