After being freed from a concentration camp, Miklós, a 25 year-old Hungarian man, is diagnosed with a severe lung disease and sent to a Swedish infirmary. Told he has less than six months to live, he refuses to give up, hoping to begin a new life with a new wife. He sends letters to 117 Hungarian girls also being treated in Sweden, one of whom responds. Based on a true story.
