In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Young Audiences will host East Meets West, a virtual performance by teaching artist and puppetry artist Hua Hua Zhang. Zhang will use a variety of engaging puppetry techniques to share the many differences and similarities of Eastern and Western cultures. The performance is tailored for students of all ages.
NAMIWalks is a completely virtually virtual experience, united with NAMIWalks across the country. Participants get to use their creativity, with the main rule that we continue to advance towards our goal by leaps and bounds. The choice is yours on how you want to be involved and eliminate stigma in our community.
NAMIWalks Your Way Maryland will culminate with a virtual showcase on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021
Children ages 5 ½ to 12 are invited to audition for the 2021-2022 Conservatory Season! Young choristers attend live, small-group, fun music classes led by highly-trained instructors, all of whom hold master’s degrees in music education. Students participate in live choir rehearsals each week with our Artistic Director, one on one meetings several times during the semester for individualized feedback on singing development, plus tech-assisted, safely distanced in-person rehearsals as state guidelines allow.
Students under 18 are invited to enjoy free admission to the museum at the Maryland Center for History and Culture all summer long - June through August. Thought-provoking exhibitions bring history to life using objects, artwork, and documents that engage young visitors in the stories of events and people who have shaped Maryland and America over time, including the new "Discover Maryland" exhibition.
Join us Sunday, June 6th from 12pm-3pm as craft vendors will set up inside & outside of the Manor House in areas that are socially distanced. Come shop gifts for family and friends or gifts for yourself!
Tickets are free, but you will need to register in advance for a specific time slot. You are welcome to register for a time slot on each day. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, our maximum capacity of guests per time slot is 80. We will closely monitor “head counts” to ensure the building stays below our maximum allowable capacity.
