In this class, students will explore ancient techniques of chainmaking from start to finish. The process includes fusing and forming fine silver and/or high karat gold into links and weaving a variety of chain styles including loop-in-loop, sailors, strap, and tapered combinations. Appropriate clasps and terminations will also be covered. Prerequisites: Introduction to Metals + Jewelry or equivalent experience.
