Make Studio artists will collectively blow out the metaphorical 16 candles at our birthday party and the opening of Licensed to… on February 28 from 2-5 p.m. in our gallery. Along with unveiling new artwork, the almost 50 artists have been giving thought to how they have creatively matured during their 1, 7, 9, or even 16 years of working as artists and are eager to share what artistic agency and freedom, and the dedicated space and supports which allow them to grow, mean to them.

We invite the adventurous and inquisitive art-loving public to join our community of artists, families, and friends to celebrate with us! Attendees are encouraged to don their favorite festive attire, and share in the art, snacks, laughs, party favors, artist remarks, and cake! Music fit for spontaneous dancing will be provided by DJ 106.7KRIS, recently highlighted by the Baltimore BEAT for his new song “Be Mine”.

Licensed to… will be on view from February 28 - March 31. It is open to the public during our weekly program hours or by appointment.
