David Page: Polite Accomplishment (Opening Reception)

Join us at Bismark-Wilson Gallery for the opening reception of David Page: Polite Accomplishment. This exhibition features his drawings in graphite, ink, and intaglio etching.
Polite Accomplishment is a term that allows us to dismiss the value of a work of art for a lack of seriousness, or for lacking passion or conviction, even if it is technically sound.
Page is primarily known as a sculptor and performance artist. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, he lives in Baltimore and teaches at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University and at the American University, where he is Sculptor in Residence.
The exhibition runs through July 20. There will be a second opening reception on Sunday, June 15, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., as well as a closing reception on Sunday, May 31, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Admission is free. Gallery hours are by appointment. Contact Claudia Bismark at [email protected] / 410-292-7067.
