Truepenny Projects presents the Baltimore premier of Salty by AJ Clauss. Directed by Tessara

Morgan and featuring David Brasington, Griffin DeLisle, Vicky Graham, Sydney Marks, Will

Murphy, Nigel Semaj and Caitlin Weaver.

Salty is a play about penguins and people. It is set in one of the last remaining conservation

zoos in a future gripped by catastrophes created by climate change. Animals have stopped

procreating, humans suffer from debilitating headaches, predators run rampant, and amidst it

all, two male Adélie penguins decide to parent an egg in their small Antarctic exhibit. Salty

cleverly decenters the human experience of climate catastrophe and highlights the inspiring

natural animal instinct of survival.

Before and after select performances, there will be talkbacks and informational booths with

Baltimore organizations such as 4MyCity, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and Sea Grant!
