Recital and Evensong for Indigenous Peoples Day

Diné pianist and musicologist Renata Yazzie performs a recital on Sunday, October 15 at 4:30 pm at St. David's, Baltimore, followed by a service filled with choral music. Part of Free Fall Baltimore.

Join the Choir of St. David’s on Sunday, October 15 at 4:30 pm for the annual Recital and Evensong for the Commemoration of Indigenous Peoples Day. The event begins at 4:30 pm with a recital by Diné (Navajo) musicologist and pianist Renata Yazzie whose work focuses on Navajo hymnody and the art of translation.

The Service of Evensong follows at 5:00 pm, featuring music by of Charles Shadle (Choctaw) and Andrew Balfour (Cree).

Part of Free Fall Baltimore, this event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 4:00 pm. All donations benefit the Baltimore American Indian Center.
