The Voyager Ensemble returns to UMBC for the 7th installment of the “armchair traveler” series, this time featuring music of Great Britain.
The ensemble will perform some of the most celebrated and beloved string quartets from England: Benjamin Britten’s String Quartet No. 2 in C Major, op. 26 and Sir Edward Elgar’s String Quartet in E minor, op. 82. The ensemble is thrilled to present a world-premiere of Bagatelles by Philip Sawyers written for this occasion.
Voyager directors David Yang and Airi Yoshioka are joined by eminent English musicians Sara Trickey, violin, and Sally Pendelbury, cello.
$15 general admission, $10 seniors, $5 students.
