Latinas in Aviation Second Annual Global Festival Launches Oct. 1

Latinas in Aviation Second Annual Global Festival Launches Oct. 1

In partnership with M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation’s College Park Aviation Museum and Airport, Fig Factor Media will present the Latinas in Aviation Second Annual Global Festival.

The family-friendly event welcomes pilots who are featured in Fig Factor Media’s “Latinas in Aviation” book as they travel and fly into College Park Airport which is also known as the Field of Firsts because it has held many “first” events. These pilots will share sharing their unique experiences and passion for aviation as well as participate in contributor author panels and presentations. Other activities include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, “Latinas in Aviation” book signing, mentorship circles, scholarship opportunities, and more.

“Latinas in Aviation” creator Jacqueline S. Ruiz said that she was “very excited to do this event with the museum again. The first event attracted about 300 people and representatives from companies. We are looking forward to making some magic happen in 2022 with some of the authors who visited us from last year’s festival and invite new ones to share their stories.”
