The Arts Council's annual plein air paint-out is fun for artists and spectators alike! Over the course of the weekend, juried artists will set up their easels throughout Ellicott City’s historic district to capture the town’s picturesque charms as they vie for a minimum of $4,000 in juror awards. Community artists are invited to join the fun as part of Open Paint, which takes place concurrently. The event culminates in an exhibit of the juried artists' work at the Howard County Center for the Arts.

Registration for Open Paint is $10 and the first 45 artists to submit a painting completed during Open Paint will have an opportunity to display their work in an exhibit at the Howard County Welcome Center which will run from June 28 – August 14.
