About the Artists: Samuel Springer is a performer, researcher, clinician, accompanist, and church musician. As a performer, Samuel has played concerts in England, the United States, and the Caribbean. Samuel has performed large-scale choral accompaniments in works such as the Duruflé Requiem and Vierne’s Messe Solennelle with many choirs and choral groups. He has been a clinician at the American Guild of Organists workshops. He has also written articles for journals such as Choir and Organ. Samuel's current research is focused on the African diaspora and the intersection of faith, culture, and religion on music in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Ayanna Freelon is a classically trained Soprano from Grenada, Mississippi. In spite of her humble beginnings, she has still managed to create a very promising career. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she was afforded many opportunities to travel the world. One of her proudest accomplishments includes being selected as a young artist in the Lingua e’ Canto summer program in St. Angelo in Vado, Italy. After graduating with honors from her undergraduate university, she went on to pursue her Masters of Arts in Music from Morgan State University. While attending Morgan, she was afforded the opportunity to sing as the soprano soloist in Bach’s Magnificat, as well as Mary Leila Wright in the opera Lyrics Of Sunshines and Shadows, composed by Steven Allen. Aside from singing in Italy, Ms. Freelon has sung in China and Spain. Miss Freelon also takes pride in curating recitals and concerts in the Baltimore/ DMV area. She shows immense promise, and with the help and support of family, she has been able to touch the lives of many people through song.

Daniel Rich, Baritone, has performed with Frostburg Opera as King Balthazar in Amahl and The Night Visitors by Menotti, with Morgan Opera in scenes from On the Town, as Daniel Webster in The Devil and Daniel Webster by Moore, and premiered the role of Surnani in the operetta, Qadar, by Tony Small. Qadar was a commissioned piece by The Smithsonian museum and the Sultanate of Oman with Artistic Direction by Denyce Graves. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, where he earned his Master of Music degree (May 2019) and studied in the voice studio of Mr. Mark Oswald. Daniel now studies in the private studio of Mr. Luis Ledesma (Curtis/AVA).
