The Baltimore Korean Movie Series rolls on with another modern classic of Korean cinema, Joint Security Area (JSA), as the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. continues its regional outreach by presenting a free series of milestone films at Parkway Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland in partnership with the Maryland Film Festival.Set in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, JSA’s tense story hinges on a fatal shootout that leaves two North Korean soldiers dead, a South Korean soldier confessing, and a deadly mystery threatening to shatter the uneasy truce between the two Koreas. As the investigation by Swiss Army Major Sophie E. Jean intensifies in the aftermath, a web of secrets and human drama of the highest order unfolds.
