Make Studio is pleased to present Cordially Invited, a first-of-its-kind in Baltimore invitational exhibition and set of programming featuring artworks created in more than a dozen innovative U.S. and international studios that serve artists with disabilities.

Cordially Invited celebrates the exciting and thought-provoking art produced in progressive art studios as a way to better appreciate our neuro-diverse world. There will be a central exhibition in Make Studio’s Showroom Gallery as well as a satellite of smaller “pop-up” art displays in partnering venues. Participating artists come from diverse local and more distant studios including Art Enables (DC), Pure Vision Arts (NY), Gateway Arts (MA), Creative Citizens Studios (PA), Open Eye Gallery (MD), Friendship Heart Gallery (PA), Creativity Explored (CA), Studio In-Sight (MD), and World of Art Brut Culture (China). Select works from Make Studio’s roster of 32 artists will also be on display.

Cordially Invited open to the public on Friday, October 5th and runs until Monday, October 29th. A free opening reception will take place in our Showroom Gallery in the Schwing Art Center, 3326 Keswick Rd. Baltimore, MD on Friday October 5th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, and will feature artist talks, music, and refreshments.

Additional programming will include an educational panel discussion, an inclusive multimedia art workshop to be held in October, and an accompanying online gallery.

The exhibition is open to visitors during Make Studio’s usual weekday hours or by appointment.
