Rumble : the Indians Who Rocked the World (Film & Story)

The film tells the story of a profound, essential, and, until now, missing chapter in the history of American music: the Indigenous influence. Taking its name from Link Wray’s seminal guitar classic “Rumble”, the film explores the many ways Native American musicians influenced the development of blues, jazz, folk and rock.

Featuring music icons Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Link Wray, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Jimi Hendrix,
Jesse Ed Davis, Robbie Robertson, Redbone and more, RUMBLE shows how these Native musicians helped shape the soundtracks of our lives.

SPECIAL PROGRAM: Before the film screening, Delwin Fiddler will provide a brief introduction to Native American history, music, dance and other aspects of Native culture.

Delwin Fiddler, Jr. is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and a world renowned Native American performance artist. He performs songs, dances and flute playing from the Lakota Native American nations.
