NuRelik Entertainment presents the book launch of panties UP dress DOWN: Things My Mama Used to Say, by first-time author Deletta Louise Gillespie at The Living Well. Gillespie is a multidisciplinary performing and teaching artist with decades in the arts and entertainment field.
Told from the daughter's perspective, panties UP dress DOWN chronicles major life lessons passed on from mother to daughter through poignant, loving and occasionally awkward and painful childhood experiences.
panties UP dress DOWN has been adapted from the stageplay, which Gillespie premiered as part of the Charm City Fringe Festival in 2004. Both the stageplay and the book have been enthusiastically received.
Ages? Mature 12-year-olds and up! Multi-generational audiences were the norm during the run of the stage play.
The book launch will include music, interactive fun, light refreshments, and of course, readings from the book. Each ticket includes an autographed copy of the book.
