Dead Man Walking: The Journey Continues w/ Sister Helen Prejean

Loyola University Maryland welcomes Sister Helen Prejean on Monday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in McGuire Hall. Sister Helen Prejean is known around the world for her tireless work against the death penalty. She has been instrumental in sparking national dialogue on capital punishment and in shaping the Catholic Church’s newly vigorous opposition to all executions. She is the author of Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States, which has ignited a national debate on capital punishment and it inspired an Academy Award winning movie, a play, and an opera.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees with a Loyola ID may pick up tickets at the Box Office, located on the first floor of the Andrew White Student Center, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 11:00am-7:00pm). Neighbors, Baltimore community members, and other guests may reserve up to two tickets through Eventbrite.
