Paul Bisaccia- pianist - Gershwin's RHAPSODY in BLUE - The Spire Series

Paul Bisaccia- pianist - Gershwin's RHAPSODY in BLUE - The Spire Series

Paul Bisaccia will perform a concert of seldom played original solo piano arrangements made by Gershwin himself, plus a little history, more humor and many anecdotes that make the man who made the music come alive for an evening. An intimate experience like this is most appropriate, because this is how Gershwin performed his music for friends.

Paul Bisaccia is the first artist to record all the solo piano music of Gershwin. The program will include favorites such as Swanee, ‘S Wonderful and I Got Rhythm as well as the seldom played original solo piano version of Rhapsody in Blue that Mr. Bisaccia played on his PBS television special Gershwin by Bisaccia.

The American Record Guide says, “For Gershwin interpretations Bisaccia wins hands down.” Noted cabaret performer Michael Feinstein calls Bisaccia’s concerts, “consummate musicianship.”

There will be a wide screen on stage presenting a live close up of Mr. Bisaccia’s hands, so everyone will have a special view.
A reception will follow the concert where you can meet and greet the artist.
